Diaries; 1st – 6th December, 1914.

Tuesday 1st December: Outterstene

General French paid us a visit here today and told us he was pleased with the work we had done. He told us we were the only Ambulance that had stayed in Ypres all through the bombardment by the Germans. He also told us the King* was in France and visiting the troops.

Thursday 3rd December: Outterstene

We had to line the roads today as the King and Prince of Wales passed through here, we all gave three cheers.

Friday 4th to Sunday 6th December: Outterstene
